How Our Guarantee Works
To make sure our prices stay fair for everyone, our guarantee covers genuine changes of mind or customer errors for prescription orders:
Your First Exchange is Free
- ✓ Your first return or exchange is free within 30 days of receiving your glasses.
- To keep our prices fair and prevent misuse, we limit standard returns to one order per 6-month period.
Additional Exchanges
If you need additional exchanges or corrections after your free exchange:
- 20% of the frame cost applies.
- 50% of any replacement lens cost applies.
- If you choose to return an order for a refund after using your free exchange, the above fees will be deducted from your refund.
- Return postage and postage for sending replacement glasses back to you are not included.
Note: If you choose store credit instead of a refund, we will reimburse your return postage costs, up to the same value as the original postage paid on purchase.
If We've Made a Mistake

If there's a manufacturing fault, prescription error, or quality issue caused by us, we will remake or replace your glasses at no cost, including postage.
Non-Custom Orders
For "Frame Only" orders or non-prescription sunglasses (items supplied with dummy lenses or manufacturer lenses):
- Statutory Period: You have a statutory right to cancel your order for a full refund within 14 days of receipt.
- Condition: The goods must be returned in exactly the condition they were received.
- Packaging: You must return the item in its original, undamaged branded packaging (box, case, cloth). If the packaging is torn, written on, or damaged, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund to cover the diminished value of the goods (up to 100% of the value if the item is not resaleable).
Christmas Gift Returns Policy
Extended Returns for Christmas Gifts
If you are purchasing your glasses as a gift for Christmas, we are pleased to offer an extended returns window until January 25th.
Please Note: To receive this extended return period, you must contact us to formally request this extension so we can add it to your order. The extension is not applied automatically.
How to Return Your Glasses
Contact Us First – Before returning your glasses, please email us at info@spex4less.com or call us on 0151 632 6611 during working hours (Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, excluding Bank Holidays).
Include a Cover Letter – Once your return is confirmed, please enclose a cover letter with your order details, including your name, order number, and reason for return. This ensures we can process your request quickly.
Important Return Information
When returning an item, we recommend obtaining proof of postage from the Post Office, as we cannot take responsibility for lost packages.
If the return is due to an error by Spex4Less, we will reimburse postage costs upon request, limited to the amount paid on your original order.
All glasses returned for reasons other than faulty frames or lenses must be in original condition, including accessories, cases, cloths, branded boxes, and any other brand materials included with your order.
